By far, my favorite assignment that we've had in this class has definitely been the Web Design. It was super fun to be creative and do something that looked aesthetically pleasing and was informational, which really showed me how useful of a tool a website could be. Because all of the information was easy to navigate and in one location, it was really straightforward to organize, and I think a variety of ages could definitely utilize a website from middle school and above. The new skills I've learned with Diigo, meanwhile, have definitely taught me a lot about collaborating and sharing media with others within similar interest groups to me. It's definitely a useful tool for sharing information, and though it's not my favorite just because I don't really love the organization, I could definitely see how useful it is when getting resources for education and sharing content. However, I think my opinion is mostly because the website feels a little outdated in comparison to modern social media. On an educational stance, though, it's definitely useful. You could definitely use this within the classroom to connect ideas with students.

When it comes to technology within the classroom, it's incredibly important for teachers to understand the changes and advancements that come with it, especially in our current time period. In just ten years, smartphones have gone from bricks to practically flat, and it doesn't just stop there. Students are often ahead of teachers when it comes to online advancements, and the importance of being cognizant to these changes couldn't be more emphasized. Professional development is essential to being a well-rounded educator, as the ability to grow and understand and become one's most intelligent and involved self is the only way to educate the next generation. With that comes the need to understand technology and how it can be utilized to make education adaptive and current. The following link is one useful website when it comes to staying updated with current educational trends for the present and the future.
