blog post #10!
Reaching the final blogpost is crazy, but we've finally done it! However, there are still things that must be discussed, such as the topic of data collection tools as teachers. Data collection tools such as Google Forms, Sheets, or any other tool that can be utilized for the same purpose is often incredibly useful when it comes to getting opinions on things or even collecting information in one place. If you utilize Google products, you have the option to put Forms data into Sheets and make a spreadsheet to understand the opinions of students, but that's not the only way this can be utilized. You can also use Forms to make quizzes, tests, or exams. With 10th Grade AP World History, having frequent check-ins with how much the students know or how much they retain is incredibly useful for seeing what should be reviewed before any potential exams, as you would see what information the students missed and if there is anything that needs to be gone over again.
The blog topics that I found whilst looking through my classmates's blogs were incredibly interesting, but my favorite had to be AngelSusana's website design. The way that the website was made was incredibly well-done, and I thought it was so cool that she had pet snails! I have never seen that before. (Also, I wasn't entirely sure what the prompt meant by "topics I found interesting", so if this isn't the right response, sorry!) I loved this website, however, and thought it was incredibly cool.
One technology-related skill I would love to master next would probably be Google Sheets or something similar. Google Sheets or Excel have always been incredibly difficult for me, as I'm not very much of a math person and I'm not entirely sure how any of the formulas work. However, when utilized as it is supposed to be, Excel and Google Sheets are incredible tools to work with. I think that I would love to learn more about how to use these kinds of tools in the educational realm, as this would help with setting up information or as I said prior, data collection. All in all, I just want to learn as much as I possibly can.
